Respol move Heaven & Earth for Unipart

September 2005

FeRFA Contractor of the Year 2004 Respol, have recently completed one of the largest flooring contracts in Europe this year, for Unipart. The majority of the project was to half narrow aisle specification and included removing in excess of 200 tonnes of old surface topping materials which were breaking down and installing 450 tonnes of Reetop P2000 using more than 12,000 kilos of epoxy resin bond primer and over 14,500 kilos of solvent free epoxy resin coating.

In excess of 26,000 square metres, the majority of the project was for refurbishment to category 2 specification for high bay racking a process involving tight tolerances which a lot of contractors shy away from.

RESPOL, whose services and systems are accredited to ISO9001:2008, have worked with Unipart for a number of years as preferred contractor, supplying systems encompassing fast track installation to provide hardwearing surfaces to withstand heavy machine traffic, resistance to oil and other chemical spills, anti-slip and easy to clean a comprehensive range of flooring systems which meet and exceed the most stringent health & safety regulations.

Richard Bristow, DCM Facilities Maintenance and Engineering Manager commented, “RESPOL have always provided Unipart with a high quality flooring service, accommodating our business requirements and working hours. There has never been a doubt that the work would be anything other than to specification and requirement.”
